Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stuey Ungar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ungar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Paper Planes. Mir is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Spoilin For A Fight . Frank Mir has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir avoids the body shot from Ungar.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mir is defended easily by Ungar.
Ungar misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mir.
Mir misses with an uppercut
and Ungar counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Ungar scoring well with a low kick there.
Mir looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ungar connects with a body shot that sends Mir's belly button to the back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice takedown defense from Ungar. No joy for Mir on that attempt.
Mir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ungar swivels and escapes.
Stuey Ungar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.
Ungar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ungar wants it to stay on the feet.

Mir feints and as Ungar raises his hands in defense, Mir changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ungar wants to stand up but Mir is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mir lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Ungar looking for a sweep. Not yet Ungar, not yet.

Mir postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mir chips away with some ground and pound.

Ungar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mir is controlling him.

Ungar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground.
Mir is working Ungar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mir has gone for a leg lock! Ungar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mir's guard.

Mir pushes a forearm under Ungar's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ungar is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Mir!
Frank Mir opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
