The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Helmsley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Helmsley is trying to control the position but McHogan postures up.
Helmsley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Helmsley tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McHogan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Helmsley looking for a guillotine here but McHogan defends easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McHogan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Helmsley doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
McHogan wants to pass the guard but Helmsley is keeping the position.

Helmsley is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! McHogan rolls with it to try and escape but Helmsley cranks on the arm and McHogan is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
