PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Studebaker Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidovv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hawk might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to silver hawk. Khalidovv has chosen Shamhan Daldaev - Eto Kavkaz as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khalidovv manages to avoid it.

Khalidovv has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hawk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Khalidovv lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Khalidovv connects with a nice short shot to Hawk's temple.

Hawk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khalidovv walks away with a smile on his face. Hawk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Khalidovv feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Khalidovv drops back looking for a leg! Hawk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hawk manages to kick Khalidovv off! Khalidovv jumps back into Hawk's guard.

Hawk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Khalidovv is aware though and is defending well.

Khalidovv drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Khalidovv jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Khalidovv stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Hawk has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Khalidovv manages to get his head free but now Hawk has transitioned to an armbar! Khalidovv grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Hawk! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
