Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Morris!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris misses with a series of wild punches.
James throws a right and a left that Morris avoids nicely.

James feints and as Morris raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Morris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

James thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morris's head.

James working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
James frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

James cracks Morris with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James unloads with some shots from mount but Morris bucks and avoids them well.

The referee warns Morris that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

James loads up with a big shot that hurts Morris! He's pulled James in close but James has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Morris survive? More strikes from James and Morris is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
