Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Melbye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Clausey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Clausey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clausey takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Melbye throws a body punch but Clausey moves out of range.

Melbye closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Clausey is trying to stand.

Melbye is trying to work for a kimura but Clausey is defending well.
Clausey is trying to stand up here but Melbye is controlling him well.
Melbye tries to pass to full mount but Clausey defends it.

Melbye is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Clausey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Melbye.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Melbye shoots for a double leg takedown but Clausey sprawls well. He's pushed Melbye's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
