Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bone Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bone Crusher!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Liddell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Crusher.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Liddell wants to control but Crusher postures up.
Liddell wants to get back to his feet.
Crusher working the ground and pound but Liddell is defending the strikes.
Liddell is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Crusher is controlling him well.
Crusher advances to mount.
Crusher misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Poor strikes thrown by Crusher there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Crusher is working for a guillotine from mount but Liddell frees his head quite easily.
Liddell keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Crusher connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Liddell tries to hold on but Crusher postures up.

Crusher is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Liddell takes one to the chin there.
Liddell throws a nice looking combination but Crusher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Liddell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crusher sprawls well initially but Liddell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crusher has his foot on Liddell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Liddell works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Chuck Liddell wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Liddell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Crusher's half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Liddell is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Crusher regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Liddell.

That's time! Liddell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Liddell.
Crusher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crusher somewhat.

Liddell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Liddell stalls from top position.
Liddell creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Crusher sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Crusher is trying to control Liddell's posture but Liddell avoids it.

Liddell controls the position from side control.
Liddell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crusher keeps working.
Crusher regains half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Liddell wants to pass to mount but Crusher is defending the position.
Crusher wants to control but Liddell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Liddell is trying to control. Crusher wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Chuck Liddell wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Liddell closes the distance but Crusher moves to the side

and Crusher counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Liddell is staying active underneath Crusher, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Liddell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crusher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Liddell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crusher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Crusher wants to clinch up but Liddell keeps it at a distance.
Crusher blocks a head kick by Liddell.
Liddell stuffs the takedown attempt from Crusher. Crusher gets slowly back to his feet.

Liddell tries to clinch up.
Liddell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liddell shoots in but no luck this time.
Liddell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Good leg kick by Crusher there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Crusher keeps the fight on the outside.
Crusher lands with a thumping leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice sprawl there from Crusher as Liddell shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Liddell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A close second round but Bone Crusher will probably get the nod - 10:9.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bone Crusher was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Crusher is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Liddell is defending well for now.
Liddell is looking to break free of the clinch but Crusher has double underhooks.

Crusher has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Liddell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Liddell fails to land the takedown.

Liddell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Crusher!
Crusher regains half guard.

Crusher pushes Liddell off and gets back to his feet.
Crusher tries to clinch there but Liddell circles away.
Crusher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddell tries to avoid it but Crusher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddell to the ground. Liddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Crusher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Liddell jabs Crusher right on the nose. Crusher blinks but takes it well.
Crusher avoids the body shot from Liddell.
Liddell throws a sloppy head kick and Crusher moves out of range easily.
Crusher fails to land with a series of punches.
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crusher paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Liddell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Liddell won't allow Crusher to sweep him here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Liddell wants to pass the guard but Crusher is keeping the position.

I would just about give that final round to Bone Crusher.
I've got Crusher winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
