Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gino Matic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson comes into the arena with Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe blaring out of the sound system. Gino Matic will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gino Matic!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson wants to clinch but Matic slips to the side
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Matic leaves Henderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Matic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Henderson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Henderson misses with a takedown attempt
and Matic counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Henderson fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Henderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Matic fails in his attempt to clinch.
Matic tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Henderson swivels and escapes.
Henderson tries to clinch but Matic moves out of range.
Matic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Henderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Henderson misses with a takedown attempt - Matic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Matic shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henderson as he avoids it easily.

Henderson closes the distance and clinches up with Matic, looking for a takedown. Henderson pushes Matic against the cage but Matic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matic has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Henderson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Matic prevents the takedown attempt.

Henderson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Henderson is breathing heavily.
Matic is pulling down on Henderson's head to control his posture.
Henderson throws an elbow that misses. Matic uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henderson's guard. Nice move by Matic!

Matic gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Henderson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Matic drives through and clinches with Henderson against the cage.
Henderson prevents Matic from breaking the clinch.
Matic jumps into guard, dragging Henderson to the mat.
Henderson is looking to stand up but Matic won't let him.

A slapping body kick lands there for Matic.

Henderson gets caught napping as Matic dives in and scores a takedown. Henderson manages to retain guard.
Matic with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Matic won't allow Henderson to get back to his feet.

Matic advances to half guard.
Matic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Matic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Henderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Matic works his way into side control.
Matic decides to stand up, so the ref orders Henderson to his feet.
Matic gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Matic ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Matic no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Henderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Matic has his feet on Henderson's thighs here. He's pushed Henderson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Henderson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
