Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Shouse !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Davis!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis looks to land a combination but Shouse avoids it well.
Shouse swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis.
Davis lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Shouse shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Shouse looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Shouse is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Davis looking for submissions off his back.
Davis pushes Shouse off looking to stand but Shouse dives back in and keeps control.
Shouse is controlling the pace.
Davis is trying to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shouse postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Davis to stand up.
Shouse avoids a punch combination nicely.
Davis misses with a two punch combination.

Shouse gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Davis wants to take the fight to the mat but Shouse manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Davis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Shouse tightens his grip and picks Davis up, before dumping him to the ground. Davis manages to land in guard.
Shouse 's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Shouse works over Davis with some ground and pound from guard.
Shouse distracts Davis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Shouse controls from within his opponent's guard.
Shouse working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Shouse might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shouse sitting in guard here, content to control.
Shouse has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Davis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Davis is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Shouse has his hands clasped together but Davis extends an breaks Shouse 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Davis.
