Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck WIlson!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

WIlson takes the fight into the clinch.

WIlson tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - WIlson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
WIlson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Chuck WIlson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
WIlson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
WIlson tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

WIlson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Silva.
Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

WIlson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Silva up against the cage.
Silva manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

WIlson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Silva's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Silva is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. WIlson is defending well for now.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Silva takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Silva jumps guard and drags WIlson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
WIlson trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
WIlson wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. WIlson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

WIlson lying in Silva's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Silva decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! WIlson taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
