Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Goodwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodwell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Luciano swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Luciano shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Goodwell pinned against the cage. Goodwell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Luciano shoots in but no luck this time.
Luciano clinches but Goodwell breaks the clinch

and Goodwell counters by clinching up.

Luciano jumps guard but Goodwell stands there with Luciano around his waist. Luciano gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Luciano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Goodwell's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Goodwell will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Goodwell.
