Strangle fails with the takedown
and Grozni counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Strangle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Grozni counters with a crisp one two that drops Strangle! Grozni thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Strangle to his feet! Strangle is in big trouble!
Strangle is rocked!
Ivan Grozni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geoff Strangle.
Grozni misses with a double jab.
Grozni lands with an uppercut that bounces Strangle off the cage and back into range.
Grozni drops Strangle with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Strangle looks back up at him and smiles so Grozni waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Strangle is still on wobbly legs! Can Grozni finish him?
Strangle with a poor takedown
and Grozni counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Strangle off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Grozni follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Strangle was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ivan Grozni!
