The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by McFinnigan.
McFinnigan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Splinter takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Master Splinter has been cut.
Splinter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice shot lands for McFinnigan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Splinter motions for McFinnigan to come forward. Splinter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McFinnigan clobbers Splinter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
McFinnigan lands with a nice body kick.
Splinter throws the kick towards the body but McFinnigan avoids it.
McFinnigan misses with a head kick.
Splinter takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Splinter throws a leg kick
and McFinnigan counters with a left to the body.
McFinnigan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Splinter. Splinter circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Splinter throws a lazy right hand but McFinnigan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Splinter misses with a body shot
and McFinnigan counters with a solid body kick.
Splinter is breathing heavily.

and McFinnigan counters with a nice uppercut.
A low kick from Splinter misses

McFinnigan pushes Splinter away with a front kick.
Splinter gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Master Splinter's cut is getting worse.

McFinnigan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Splinter throws a leg kick that is checked
and McFinnigan counters with a nice body kick.
McFinnigan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Splinter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McFinnigan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Splinter takes a step back to recover.
McFinnigan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
McFinnigan lands the left hand.

Master Splinter's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
McFinnigan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Splinter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
McFinnigan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

McFinnigan connects with a body shot.
Splinter's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McFinnigan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Splinter scrambles back to his feet.
A solid body kick from McFinnigan.
A nice inside leg kick there by McFinnigan. That's going to slow Splinter down.
McFinnigan scoring well with a low kick there.
BOOM! McFinnigan lands a beautiful left hook that drops Splinter. Splinter tries to recover but McFinnigan is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Splinter lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
