PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cowboy Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Dundee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cowboy Cerrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Dundee!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dundee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cerrone as he jumps to the side.
Cerrone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dundee's waist but Dundee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cerrone off to one side.
Dundee misses with a takedown attempt - Cerrone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dundee stuffs the takedown attempt from Cerrone. Cerrone gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck for Dundee with that takedown attempt.
Cowboy Cerrone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Dundee.

Dundee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dundee lands in his opponent's guard.
Dundee throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dundee looks gassed!

Dundee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cerrone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dundee, into his guard.
Dundee is looking to sweep but instead, Cerrone has passed into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dundee tries to get to full guard but Cerrone has control of the leg.
Cerrone passes to side control.
Dundee looks to move to half guard but instead Cerrone has passed into mount! Damn!

Cerrone stands up from mount. Strange move.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dundee misses with a head kick.
Cerrone lands a hook that stumbles Dundee back into the cage. Cerrone follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Dundee to the canvas! Cerrone pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Dundee has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
