Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Helson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neji Hyuuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Neji Hyuuga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hyuuga doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Hyuuga tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyuuga.
Hyuuga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hyuuga closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Hyuuga feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Hyuuga changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hyuuga can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hyuuga is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie.

Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hyuuga for as long as he can get away with.

Gracie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hyuuga is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gracie yanks on the arm and Hyuuga is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gracie.
