Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harold Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harold Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Evans!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Price lands a nice shot to the body.

Evans gets caught napping as Price dives in and scores a takedown. Evans manages to retain guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Price got a little sloppy there for a moment and Evans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Price has managed to get both his arms back between Evans's legs - danger averted.
Price sitting in guard here, content to control.

Harold Price has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Price tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Evans ducks under a wild hook from Price.
Price misses with a body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Price turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Price stands up.

Horrible takedown by Evans or perhaps it was just good defense by Price which made him look bad.

Price throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Evans tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Price is in Evans's guard.

Price stands and steps away. Evans gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Evans tries for a takedown but Price sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Price throws a poor cross that misses

and Evans counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Price is looking to escape.

Evans is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Price defends it well.

Evans is looking for a kimura but Price is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Evans to get the leverage.
Evans tries to pass the half guard into mount. Price knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Price is doing well to control the position and prevent Evans from advancing to side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Harold Price has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Price clinches up with Evans and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Price lands a takedown into guard.

Price decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Price pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Price thows a body shot but no joy.

Price has closed the distance and engaged Evans in a clinch.
Price has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Evans pulls guard successfully.
Evans tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Evans is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Price is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Harold Price has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Price throws a low kick but it's checked well by Evans.
Evans shoots and misses
and Price counters with a nice low kick that buckles Evans's knee momentarily.
Price shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Evans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Price's waist but Price gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Evans off to one side.

Price misses with a wild combination.

Price drives through and clinches with Evans against the cage.
Price is trying to force a seperation but Evans has the dominant position.
Evans keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Price's efforts to push away.

Evans gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Price wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Price is trying to control but can't.
Price is controlling Evans's position as best he can from this difficult position.

We're going to have a standup here because Harold Price wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Price tries to avoid it but Evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Price to the ground. Price escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Harold Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Evans.
Price motions for Evans to come forward. Price throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Evans shoots in but Price avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Price throws a big shot that misses.
Evans misses with a takedown attempt

and Price decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Evans's guard.
Evans is breathing heavily.

Price gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Price throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Price gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Price gets to mount! Evans was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harold Price dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Price tries to score with a low kick but Evans moves his leg out of the way.
Price is looking to score with low kicks.

Evans scores a takedown into full mount!
Evans avoids the attempt from Price to control.

Evans jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Price is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Price and Evans has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Price sneaks back into half guard.
Evans prevents Price from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Price holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Evans is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Evans takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Price works his way to full guard. Good work.
Price is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Price managing to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Harold Price wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Evans throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Price tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Evans is in Price's guard.
Evans passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Price tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Evans presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Price really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Evans goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Price is on top in guard.
Price stays in close to Evans's body and controls the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Harold Price.
Well Price has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Harold Price was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
