Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Zoldye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Pearce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zoldye might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Taiyou Wa Yoru Mo Kagayaku. The key to victory for Jack Zoldye has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoldye tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Pearce counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zoldye won't be happy with that.
Zoldye seems a little lost for a moment, as Pearce dominates the positioning.
Pearce in side control lands a decent elbow.
A lull in the action here as Pearce stalls from top position.

Pearce decides to take the fight back to the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pearce throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zoldye.
Zoldye fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pearce has closed the distance and engaged Zoldye in a clinch.
Zoldye is trying to force a seperation but Pearce has the dominant position.

Zoldye is trying to push Pearce away but Pearce has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Pearce is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zoldye's half guard.
Zoldye knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pearce on the ground.

Zoldye lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fred Pearce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zoldye lands with a slapping head kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zoldye enables Pearce to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zoldye manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Pearce lands a couple of digs.

Pearce decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zoldye to his feet.

Pearce shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pearce showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zoldye wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pearce has him pressed against the cage.

Pearce has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Zoldye clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Pearce working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Zoldye is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Pearce has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Zoldye taps out!
