Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cole Tessier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Luiz.
David Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luiz throws a body punch but Tessier moves out of range.

and Luiz counters with a two punch combo.
Tessier fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Tessier counters with a shoot takedown. Luiz fights it but they end up in guard.
Tessier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Luiz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tessier, into his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tessier wants to sweep here but Luiz controlling him for the moment.

Tessier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Luiz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by David Luiz.
Luiz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tessier was well out of range. Poor timing from Luiz.
Good exchange - Luiz coming out on top.
Luiz closes the distance and clinches up with Tessier, looking for a takedown. Luiz pushes Tessier against the cage but Tessier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Luiz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tessier is defended easily by Luiz.

Luiz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Luiz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Tessier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Luiz as he avoids it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Cole Tessier will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circle momentarily. Tessier darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Tessier counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Luiz thinking.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Luiz.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Luiz, as that shot connected.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

David Luiz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tessier has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cole Tessier really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that TFP Graphics - Pit Inc logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
