Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Swinehard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyotaka Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Swinehard could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kiyotaka Shimizu's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimizu shoots in looking for a takedown. Swinehard tries to sprawl out of it but Shimizu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Swinehard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shimizu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Swinehard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Swinehard connects with a nice looking jab.
Swinehard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shimizu.

Shimizu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Swinehard napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Shimizu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Swinehard gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shimizu wants to stand but Swinehard is controlling his posture from full guard.

Shimizu is pushing down on Swinehard's leg trying to pass to half guard. Swinehard is fighting to maintain full guard but Shimizu has managed to sneak the leg through.

Swinehard is defending against the submission attempts here by Shimizu.

Shimizu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Swinehard defends it well.

Shimizu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Swinehard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shimizu.

Shimizu has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Swinehard defend it? Shimizu steps over the head and cranks it - Swinehard is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Shimizu!
