The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dangerous pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Dangerous closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dangerous goes for a takedown in the clinch but Weyzen prevents it.
Dangerous looking for a takedown.
Dangerous lands a right hand that snaps the head of Weyzen backwards.
Dangerous has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Weyzen after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Dangerous. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dangerous tries to break free but Weyzen pushes him back against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Dangerous's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dangerous tries to circle away but Weyzen has him pinned against the cage.
Dangerous has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A right handed body shot lands from Weyzen.

Dangerous has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Weyzen regains guard immediately.
Dangerous passes Weyzen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Weyzen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dangerous is working away from the top position though.
Weyzen is refusing to be controlled, as Dangerous sits in half guard.

Dangerous stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Sydney Weyzen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Weyzen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Weyzen doesn't manage to clinch there - Dangerous circles away.
Weyzen just misses with a punch to the body.

That kick from Weyzen tenderised Dangerous's leg. Dangerous is trying to keep his angry face on.

Sydney Weyzen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dangerous with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Weyzen to score with a decent uppercut.

Weyzen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Oh Dangerous is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dangerous glances at the clock... BAM! Weyzen nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Dangerous crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Dangerous is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

An out of breath Sydney Weyzen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
