The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutger stuffs the takedown.
Kliminis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kliminis doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rutger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rutger drops an elbow to the side of Kliminis's head.
Rutger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kliminis wants to get back to his feet.
Rutger moves into full mount! Kliminis won't be happy about that!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rutger postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kliminis looks a forlorn figure.

It looks like Modon Kliminis has been cut.

Kliminis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rutger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rutger lands a big elbow.

That has opened up Modon Kliminis's cut even more.

Modon Kliminis's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Modon Kliminis's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A very excited looking Gerlach Rutger rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
