Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devin Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jackson is just content to waste time from the top position. Kane takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Jackson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson tries to pass to full mount but Kane defends it.
Kane is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kane lands a head shot.
Jackson looks to throw the jab but Kane is out of range.
Kane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kane is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Kane circles away and we're back to standing.
Kane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Kane.

Jackson tries for a takedown but Kane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jackson. Kane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kane bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jackson's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.

Kane throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kane tries to kick Jackson off in order to stand up. Jackson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kane parries the strikes from Jackson easily there. Jackson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kane to escape.

Jackson is looking to advance position but Kane won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackson in particular looking to stall.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Devin Kane will probably get the nod.

Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Kane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kane pinned against the cage. Kane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oooooh!!! Kane has knocked Jackson down with a huge combo! Kane steps away and waves a wobbly Jackson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Devin Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Jackson.

Kane lunges at Jackson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jackson's hand.
Kane walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jackson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kane drops Jackson with a naaaaasty hook - Jackson is in real trouble here! Kane dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
