Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byant avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fernandes swinging wilding here.
Fernandes looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nice takedown defense from Fernandes. No joy for Byant on that attempt.
Fernandes throws out a leg kick but Byant moves out of range and Fernandes only half commits.
Byant shoots for a double leg takedown but Fernandes sprawls well. He's pushed Byant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fernandes tries to bum rush Byant with a series of wild strikes but Byant uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Byant slips a jab and a cross from Fernandes.
Byant tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fernandes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fernandes shoots and misses
and Byant counters with a shoot takedown. Fernandes fights it but they end up in guard.
Fernandes scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Fernandes looks to land a combination but Byant avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Byant tries to work over Fernandes's front leg with a kick but Fernandes checks it.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Byant.
Fernandes is rocked!
Byant is working to tighten is grip on Fernandes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fernandes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Byant is really squeezing tight and eventually Fernandes passes out! Byant breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
