The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker blocks the body kick.
Savage showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Whitaker.
Derek Whitaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Savage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Whitaker has a takedown stuffed.
Whitaker takes one to the side of the head.
Whitaker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Savage.
