The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
zavala looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Visconti is fending him off so far but zavala persists. Nope, Visconti circles away and we're back to standing.

Visconti feints and as zavala raises his hands in defense, Visconti changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
zavala is trying to keep Visconti in close.
Visconti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as zavala works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Visconti's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
zavala trying to keep a closed guard but Visconti is proving a slippery customer.

Visconti is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. zavala has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Visconti has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! zavala taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Visconti doesn't care though - he's delighted!
