Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhamad Alli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Katchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alli comes to the cage accompanied by De la Souls, by POS. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Muhamad Alli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Katchenko!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katchenko slips under a jab.

Andrei Katchenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alli misses with a leg kick
and Katchenko counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Katchenko throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Katchenko takes a swing at Alli's ribcage but misses.
Katchenko catches Alli with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Katchenko counters with a lovely shot to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Katchenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Katchenko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alli. That did some damage!

and Alli counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Katchenko lands a nice hook to Alli's body. Alli takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Alli uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Katchenko.
Katchenko throws a wild body kick that Alli sees coming a mile off.

and Katchenko counters with a slapping leg kick.
Katchenko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alli on the side of the head.

Alli shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Katchenko manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Katchenko has momentary wrist control but Alli slips an elbow through the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alli tries to free his leg and advance position but Katchenko is retaining full guard.
Alli throws a big elbow that misses.
Katchenko keeping moving, preventing Alli from controlling successfully.

Alli postures up in Katchenko's guard and throws a big left but Katchenko blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Katchenko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Katchenko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Alli has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Alli tries for a takedown but Katchenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Alli throws an overhand right that lands on Katchenko's shoulder, as Katchenko tries to avoid the shot.
Katchenko motions for Alli to come forward. Katchenko throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Katchenko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alli sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Alli cracks Katchenko with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Alli will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A nice inside leg kick there by Katchenko. That's going to slow Alli down.
Katchenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Alli misses with a series of wild punches.
Alli throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A clash of legs there as Alli blocks the low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrei Katchenko dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Alli scores with the left hand. Katchenko knows he should have avoided that one.
Alli throws a jab when Katchenko was well out of range.
Katchenko lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Katchenko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alli.
Katchenko slaps away a takedown attempt from Alli, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No joy there for Katchenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Katchenko throws an overhand right that lands on Alli's shoulder, as Alli tries to avoid the shot.

Andrei Katchenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alli drops his hands momentarily and Katchenko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Alli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Katchenko's guard.

Alli drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Katchenko dives on top into guard.

You can see the frustration on Alli's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Andrei Katchenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Katchenko lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Alli walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Katchenko throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alli stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Alli shoots in looking for a takedown but Katchenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alli's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Alli shoots in and drives through. Katchenko sprawls well.
Katchenko blocks a jab.
Katchenko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Katchenko misses with a body shot.
Alli scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Alli takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

and Alli counters with a single leg into guard. Katchenko didn't expect that.
Katchenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Alli advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Alli thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Katchenko can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alli tries to pass to full mount but Katchenko defends it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Katchenko keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Alli not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Alli thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Katchenko's head.
Alli thows a huge punch but Katchenko dodges it nicely.
Katchenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alli is working for a kimura here but Katchenko manages to reverse the position and he's now in Alli's guard.

Alli working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Katchenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Katchenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Alli has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Katchenko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alli has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Katchenko has passed into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Muhamad Alli.
I think Katchenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
