The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Isono fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Nguyen checks it well.
Isono avoids the body shot from Nguyen.
Isono gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Isono will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nguyen up against the cage.
Nguyen is trying to break the clinch but Isono has him pressed against the cage.
Nguyen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Isono pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Isono lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like John Wayne Nguyen has been cut.
Isono lands a damaging elbow.
Nguyen is looking to control Isono's arms but Isono gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nguyen has his back to the cage.
Isono lands an elbow just above Nguyen 's eye.

Isono lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
