PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donny Hammerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Orlando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orlando has chosen Welcome to the Terrordome as his entrance music. Dante Orlando told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orlando throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Hammerson.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A close round but Dante Orlando will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters circle momentarily. Orlando darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Orlando swings wildly with an uppercut but Hammerson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Orlando lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hammerson or not.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Orlando lands an elbow that stopped Hammerson in his tracks for a moment.
Hammerson jumps guard but Orlando stands there with Hammerson around his waist. Hammerson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Orlando will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hammerson up against the cage.

Hammerson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Orlando defend it? Hammerson steps over the head and cranks it - Orlando is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hammerson!
