The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer tries to keep at a distance but Stefanovic has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stefanovic prevents Hammer from breaking the clinch.

Hammer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Stefanovic tries a knee to the head but Hammer blocks it.
Hammer has had enough of the clinch but Stefanovic keeps him there for the moment.
Stefanovic changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hammer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stefanovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stefanovic throws a head kick but Hammer moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stefanovic is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hammer pulls him back up using the underhooks.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hammer is on top in guard.
Stefanovic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stefanovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stefanovic will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Hammer throws a hook but Stefanovic blocks it.

Hammer blocks a head kick by Stefanovic.
Stefanovic displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hammer throws out the jab.

Hammer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stefanovic takes one to the chin there.
Hammer throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Stefanovic stumbling backwards into the cage! Stefanovic bounces back off the cage towards Hammer, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hammer lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hammer celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
