PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Axl Horn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bwanali Longwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bill Murray - by Sweatshop Union. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Axl Horn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bwanali Longwe!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Horn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Longwe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Longwe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Horn as he avoids it easily.
Horn throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A punch lands to the side of Longwe 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Axl Horn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horn slips under a jab from Longwe.
Horn scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Longwe moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Horn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Longwe's head backwards.
Longwe shoots in looking for a takedown. Horn tries to sprawl out of it but Longwe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Horn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Longwe takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Horn throws out a powerful jab.

Longwe is rocked!
Longwe throws a wild hook but Horn just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Longwe gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Horn raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Axl Horn!
