Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burza comes to the cage accompanied by Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Brown!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burza thumps Brown with a low kick.
Brown tries to land a leg kick but Burza saw it coming and moves away.
Good leg kick by Burza there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Burza keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brown.
Brown avoids the head kick by Burza.

Brown gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Burza to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Brown looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Burza passes into half guard.
It looks like Burza is going to stand back up.
Brown is looking for a sweep. Burza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Burza sits in half guard.

Tyson Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round but I would say that Roman Burza will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roman Burza.
