Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between shano dizi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

dizi moves into the clinch successfully.
dizi stops a takedown attempt from Alves.
Alves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. dizi just stands there and leans against the cage.
Alves is trying to work for a single leg takedown but dizi pulls him back up using the underhooks.
shano dizi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Alves.

dizi jumps into guard, dragging Alves to the mat.

Alves is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and dizi reverses the position - he's now on top in Alves's guard.

Alves had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. dizi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alves Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take dizi's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alves has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, dizi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Alves thows a strike but dizi uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by dizi as he ends up in Alves 's guard!

Alves has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. dizi is working away from the top position though.
Alves makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alves.
dizi is in close to Alves's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Alves manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
dizi wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Alves is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but dizi has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
dizi looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Alves is looking to control dizi but dizi is wriggling around and keeping busy.

I would just about give that final round to Thiago Alves.
