The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckenbauer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Palawszewski .
Palawszewski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Palawszewski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beckenbauer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Palawszewski connects with the punch.
Palawszewski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Beckenbauer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Beckenbauer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Palawszewski .
Beckenbauer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Palawszewski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Palawszewski throws a right hand that Beckenbauer ducks under and follows up with a left that Beckenbauer also avoids with ease.

Beckenbauer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Palawszewski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
