The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kovalainen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Belt to the mat! Belt manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Belt is trying to control the position but Kovalainen postures up.
Kovalainen pushes down on Belt's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Belt is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kovalainen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Belt's body to avoid the submission. Belt has instead reached around Kovalainen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Belt arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
