Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Armor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bryan Page!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armor throws an off balance right hand
and Page counters with a nice uppercut.

Armor pushes Page up against the cage in a clinch.
Page with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Armor wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Page lands a hook to the side of the head.

Page breaks the clinch.
Page connects with an inside leg kick.
Armor checks a low kick from Page.
A slapping leg kick lands for Page.
Armor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Page defends it nicely.
Page cracks Armor with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Page dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Armor. That did some damage!
Page displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Armor.
Page walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Armor checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Page takes a swing at Armor's ribcage but misses.
Page throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Armor on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Page throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Armor swats away the attempt to clinch by Page.
Page tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Armor was well out of range. Poor timing from Page.
Page tries to close the distance and clinch up but Armor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Page thumps Armor with a low kick.
Page connects with an inside leg kick.
Armor slips a jab from Page.
Page misses with a body shot.

Page moves into the clinch successfully.
Armor is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Page gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Armor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Page scores with a shoulder strike.
Page has Armor pressed against the cage, preventing Armor from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Page turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Page manages to end up in side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Armor is not content to let Page control the position.
Armor is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Page creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Armor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Page throwing strikes but Armor manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Page tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Armor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Page is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Armor tries to move into full mount but can't pass Page's legs.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Page can do anything to dispel that myth.
Page wants to control but Armor postures up.
Page is looking to reverse the position.
Armor working the ground and pound but Page is defending the strikes.

Armor stands up and beckons Page to his feet.

Armor feints and as Page raises his hands in defense, Armor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Armor stopping the sweep attempt from Page.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Page keeping moving, preventing Armor from controlling successfully.
Armor is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Armor stands up and waves to Page to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Page dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Page keeps the fight on the outside.
Page throws a front kick aimed at Armor's knee but Armor avoids it well.

Armor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Page's half guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Page trying to keep a closed guard but Armor is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jake Armor.
Page turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Page works the jab nicely.
Armor checks the leg kick.
Armor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Page throws a push kick but Armor slaps the foot to one side.
Armor takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Armor takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Page slaps away a takedown attempt from Armor, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Page misses with a kick to the body.
Page connects with a solid leg kick.
Bryan Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Page.
Page looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Armor gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Armor is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Armor is trying to pull guard but Page turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Page tries to throw a body punch but Armor avoids it by throwing Page back against the cage.

Page's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Armor doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Armor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Armor shoots for a takedown but Page saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Armor pivots, looking for a leg kick but Page is out of range and Armor settles back down.
Page connects with a body shot.
Page lands a nice looking kick to the body. Armor takes a step back to recover.

Page connects with a body shot that sends Armor's belly button to the back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Armor takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bryan Page seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Armor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Page can pounce on him.
Page cracks Armor with a right hand to the side of the head.
Page looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Page fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Armor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Page feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Armor's calf.
Page lands a slapping body shot.

Armor gets caught napping as Page dives in and scores a takedown. Armor manages to retain guard.
Page working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Page makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Page with a flurry of punches that miss.
Page prevents Armor from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Page showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Armor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Page manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Page is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Armor tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Page.
Armor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Page does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jake Armor just wasn't active enough.

Armor shoots in for a double leg but Page sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Page tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Armor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Page jabs at Armor's body.
Page fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Page has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Page explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Page scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Page misses with a series of wild punches.

Page lands a leg kick that knocks Armor off balance momentarily.
Bryan Page is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Page lands a head shot.
Page works Armor's body with a nice hook.
Page connects with an inside leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Good leg kick by Page there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Page goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jake Armor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Page takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Bryan Page comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Page winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
