PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruoska kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sympathy for the Devil. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruoska tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruoska manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson has his takedown stuffed

and Ruoska counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Ruoska is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ruoska will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jackson tries to buck Ruoska off but Ruoska is having none of it.

Jackson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ruoska asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Ruoska tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruoska has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jackson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ruoska is staying active.
