Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mauri Ruoska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruoska tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruoska manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson has his takedown stuffed

and Ruoska counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Ruoska is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jackson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ruoska is chipping away with strikes.
Ruoska will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson tries to buck Ruoska off but Ruoska is having none of it.
Ruoska in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Jackson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ruoska asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Ruoska tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruoska has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jackson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ruoska is staying active.
Check out the look on Ruoska's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ruoska in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Jackson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Ruoska turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
