Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Bulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenny Bulo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Belt!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bulo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bulo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Belt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bulo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bulo.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bulo stands up over Belt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bulo trying to control the position from guard on top but Belt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Belt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bulo stays in close to Belt's body and controls the position.

Belt is working an open guard so Bulo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belt fails with a takedown attempt.
Belt looks gassed!

Bulo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Belt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bulo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bulo lands a decent elbow from side control.
Bulo landing strikes.
Bulo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Belt some visible discomfort.

Bulo looks up at the clock and then as Belt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bulo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Belt is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bulo connects with a decent elbow.

Bulo lands some shots froms side control.

Belt is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Bulo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Belt on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bulo lands an elbow.
Belt takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Bulo decides to stand back up. Bulo steps back and let's Belt get back to his feet.
Bulo lands a jab-cross combination.

Bulo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bulo trying to control from half guard but Belt is working away.
Bulo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bulo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Belt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bulo is nestled in close to Belt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bulo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bulo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bulo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bulo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bulo duly obliges.
Bulo throws a series of punches but Belt avoids them all with ease.
Bulo misses with a wild combination.
Bulo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Bulo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Belt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Bulo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Belt is breathing heavily.

Bulo wants the takedown. Belt is fighting it off but Bulo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Belt's guard against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bulo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Belt is proving hard to escape from.

Belt controls Bulo momentarily but Bulo frees himself.
Bulo trying to control but Belt is working from the bottom.
Bulo cracks Belt with a solid left hand.
Bulo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Bulo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bulo controlling from the top position.
Bulo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Belt can do to turn this around?

Bulo stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Bulo moves into the clinch.
Bulo lands with a left to the head.

Bulo manages to break the clinch.

Kenny Bulo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bulo controlling the pace for now.

Bulo landing strikes from the mount and Belt is in trouble!
Bulo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bulo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Bulo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Belt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bulo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bulo connects with a nice short shot to Belt's temple.

Belt is defending against the submission attempts here by Bulo.

Bulo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Belt is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
