The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrick shoots for a takedown but Michael saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Michael closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Garrick manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Garrick gets full guard.
Garrick might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Garrick manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Garrick is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Garrick extends the arm and Michael is forced to tap!
