The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Turnham. No joy for Umanga on that attempt.
Turnham has Umanga up against the cage in a clinch.

Turnham ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Turnham no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Turnham is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Umanga dives into side control.
Umanga is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Turnham has escaped the position, nice work there.

Umanga is landing with some decent strikes but Turnham is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Umanga working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Turnham looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Umanga! Submission of the night perhaps?
