Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eric Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Gypsy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Koch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Gypsy!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gypsy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Koch as he jumps to the side.
Gypsy shoots in looking for a takedown but Koch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gypsy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gypsy avoids the head kick by Koch.
Koch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gypsy circles away quickly and effectively.

Gypsy drives through and clinches with Koch against the cage.
Gypsy goes for a takedown attempt but Koch pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Eric Koch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Gypsy.
Gypsy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koch's waist but Koch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gypsy off to one side.
Gypsy on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gypsy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Koch defends it nicely.

Gypsy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gypsy prevents Koch from standing back up.
Gypsy passes the guard and advances to mount!

Gypsy has control of Koch's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Koch regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Gypsy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Koch because Gypsy loaded up on that one.
Gypsy throws some wild stikes that Koch manages to avoid easily.
Koch wants to try and get back to his feet.

Koch defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gypsy.

Gypsy goes for an armbar but Koch turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Koch.
Gypsy tries to strike from the bottom.
Koch wanted to stand there but Gypsy had control of the position.
Koch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gypsy is trying to keep Koch in close.

Gypsy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koch defends well.
Koch would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Gypsy wriggles free and stands up.
Gypsy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koch tries to avoid it but Gypsy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koch to the ground. Koch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Koch moves into the clinch successfully.
Koch creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gypsy's defenses.
A knee to the head by Koch.
Gypsy has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Koch is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Koch just misses with a elbow thrown towards Gypsy's brow.
Koch is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gypsy is keeping busy.
Gypsy takes a knee to the side of the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gypsy is looking to take this one to the mat.
Koch lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gypsy backwards.
Koch with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Gypsy is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gypsy is looking to work some ground and pound but Koch has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but The Gypsy will probably get the nod.

Gypsy dives in and grabs Koch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Koch pushes down on Gypsy's head and hops out.
Gypsy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Koch circles away.
Koch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gypsy was well out of range. Poor timing from Koch.

Gypsy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Koch fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Koch lands with a kick to the temple. Gypsy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gypsy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koch as he avoids it easily.
Gypsy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Koch misses with a leg kick.
Koch leaves Gypsy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Koch cracks Gypsy with an open hand slap.
Good leg kick by Koch there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gypsy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koch swivels and escapes.

Koch darts in and clinches Gypsy up against the cage.
Koch unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gypsy lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Gypsy is breathing heavily.
Koch lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gypsy backwards.
Koch lands a knee to the body.
Koch gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Gypsy takes a knee to the side of the body.
Koch lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Koch connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gypsy's face.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gypsy is trying to drag Koch to the mat but Koch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
