The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombard falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kikyerass connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Hector Lombard has been cut.

Kikyerass tries to close the distance and clinch but Lombard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lombard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A looping hook to the body misses from Lombard. Kikyerass does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lombard throws the kick towards the body but Kikyerass avoids it.

Kikyerass tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lombard paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lombard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Lombard. Those never looked like landing.
Lombard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kikyerass avoids the head kick by Lombard.
Lombard throws a right and a left that both miss.

Lombard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lombard misses with a double jab.
Kikyerass moves in looking to clinch but Lombard pushes him off.
Lombard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lombard misses with a head kick.
Hector Lombard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kikyerass avoids the head kick by Lombard.
Kikyerass tries to clinch there but Lombard circles away.
A big left from Lombard misses.
Lombard takes a swing at Kikyerass's ribcage but misses.

Lombard tries to sprawl but Kikyerass drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kikyerass looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lombard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lombard is breathing heavily.
