Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johson defends it nicely.
Johson throws a right hand that Cruz ducks under and follows up with a left that Cruz also avoids with ease.
Cruz dodges the punch combination from Johson.
Johson throws a combination that misses

and Cruz counters with a nice double leg into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cruz stops Johson from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cruz on the ground.

Johson is looking to stand back up but Cruz counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Johson.
Johson tries to kick Cruz off in order to stand up. Cruz Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Johson tries to escape but Cruz is in control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cruz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Cruz has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Johson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cruz yanks on the arm and Johson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cruz.
