Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Furzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Torres's choice of entrance music: All I Do Is Win. Dan Torres is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Furzon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Torres!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Furzon rushes Torres and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Torres is looking to break free of the clinch but Furzon has double underhooks.
Torres is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Furzon is keeping busy.
Furzon pushes Torres back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Furzon tries for a takedown but Torres manages to get underhooks.
Torres is trying to pull guard but Furzon has him pressed against the cage.
Torres tries to break the clinch but Furzon is controlling the position.
Torres looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Torres has had enough of the clinch but Furzon keeps him there for the moment.
Furzon effectively controlling the action here.

Furzon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Torres loads up on a big right hand but Furzon slips the punch.
Torres rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Furzon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Torres looks to land a combination but Furzon avoids it well.

Furzon drives through and clinches with Torres against the cage.

Torres wants to get back to striking at distance but Furzon won't allow it.
Furzon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Torres is looking to control Furzon's arms but Furzon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Torres has his back to the cage.
Furzon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Torres gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Torres jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Furzon walks away with a smile on his face. Torres gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Torres misses with a two punch combination.
Frankie Furzon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Torres keeps the fight on the outside.

Furzon darts in and clinches Torres up against the cage.
Torres tries to circle away but Furzon has him pinned against the cage.

Furzon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Torres regains guard.
Furzon being controlled here momentarily.
Furzon won't allow Torres to get back to his feet.

Furzon wants to control from the top but Torres keeps moving.
Furzon trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Torres manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Furzon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Furzon tries to clinch up
and Torres counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Torres throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Furzon counters by moving into the clinch.
Torres looks winded!

Furzon jumps guard and drags Torres to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Furzon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Torres is controlling him.

Furzon has a closed guard, preventing Torres from standing up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Torres prevents Furzon from getting back to his feet.
Torres is looking to stand up but Furzon won't let him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Furzon fails in his attempt to clinch.

Furzon rushes Torres and presses him up against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Furzon is trying to trip Torres. He has hold of a leg but Torres is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Furzon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Furzon wants to control from the top but Torres keeps moving.
Furzon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Torres works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankie Furzon dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.

Furzon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Torres uses from the top position.

Furzon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Torres is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Furzon goes for a takedown attempt but Torres pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Furzon.

Furzon has clasped his hands together around Torres's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Furzon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Furzon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Furzon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Torres stops Furzon from passing to mount.
Torres pushes Furzon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Furzon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankie Furzon dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Torres lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Furzon circles away quickly and effectively.

Torres takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Torres is trying to push Furzon away but Furzon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

It looks like Dan Torres has been cut.

Furzon pulls guard.
Furzon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Furzon wants to stand up but Torres is controlling him.
Furzon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Frankie Furzon just wasn't active enough.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Furzon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Torres's defenses.
Furzon lands an elbow just above Torres 's eye.
Frankie Furzon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Furzon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Torres uses from the top position.
Furzon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Torres manages to get himself to full guard.

Furzon is really struggling to control Torres but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Frankie Furzon.

Frankie Furzon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Furzon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
