Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski comes to the cage accompanied by Harvey - Get up and move. George Davis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 2, fighting out of London, Shawn Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George Davis!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Kowalski.


It looks like George Davis has been cut.

Davis shoots in and bounces Kowalski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Davis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Davis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kowalski manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Kowalski in his guard.

Davis has his foot on Kowalski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kowalski works his way back into a safe position though.

Kowalski stands and steps away. Davis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Davis is trying to drag Kowalski to the mat but Kowalski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Davis tries to circle away but Kowalski has him pinned against the cage.
Davis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davis wants to take the fight to the mat but Kowalski manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kowalski pulls guard successfully.

Davis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kowalski is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Davis, into his guard.

Kowalski gets to his feet - Davis follows without any prompting.

Kowalski darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage.

Davis shoots for a takedown but Kowalski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Davis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kowalski gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Davis avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
