The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Camacho, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pontes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pontes on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fernando Pontes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pontes shoots for a double leg takedown but Camacho sprawls well. He's pushed Pontes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice sprawl there from Camacho as Pontes shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fernando Pontes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters circling a little - Camacho finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Camacho lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Camacho and Pontes are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Camacho throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Pontes into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Camacho knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
