Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clark Channell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Channell drives through with a takedown into guard.
Channell lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Channell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Channell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Channell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Channell distracts Owens with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Channell with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Channell is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Owens had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Channell defends it easily.
Channell advances position into side control!
Owens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Channell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Channell has hold of Owens's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Owens tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Channell cranks the arm and Owens screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Owens, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Clark Channell!
