Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Romano Schoots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keast Kann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Romano Schoots!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Keast Kann!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schoots throws out a loose jab but Kann uses good head movement to avoid it.
Schoots uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kann.

Schoots has Kann up against the cage in a clinch.
Schoots tries to land knees in the clinch but Kann avoids the damage to the body.
Schoots misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kann lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Schoots backwards.
Schoots with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Schoots lands a knee to the head.
Kann is working for takedown but Schoots is calmly controlling the position for now.
Schoots tries a knee to the head but Kann blocks it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Kann drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Schoots gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Schoots is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Romano Schoots has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keast Kann.

Schoots is looking to control Kann's arms but Kann gets an underhook and turns him. Now Schoots has his back to the cage.

Kann tries to pull guard but Schoots holds him up against the cage and eventually Kann drops back down to his feet.

Kann has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Schoots is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Schoots tries a knee to the head but Kann blocks it.

Kann wants the takedown. Schoots is fighting it off but Kann persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Schoots's guard against the cage.
Schoots bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kann's guard.
Schoots wants to control from the top but Kann keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kann manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Kann unloads with some shots from mount but Schoots bucks and avoids them well.
Schoots tries to lock up and control but Kann gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Schoots is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Kann swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Schoots is now in Kann's guard. A big mistake from Kann there, giving up the dominant position!
Kann has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kann is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Schoots sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kann's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kann is pressing down on Schoots's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Schoots tries to free his leg and advance position but Kann is retaining full guard.
Schoots wants to control from the top but Kann keeps moving.
Kann is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Schoots slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Kann lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Schoots!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Schoots tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That was a close round but I would say that Romano Schoots will probably get the nod.

Kann throws a hook but Schoots blocks it.

Kann shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schoots pinned against the cage. Schoots gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Schoots connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kann needs to keep his hands up - Schoots had a free shot at his head there.
Schoots lands a nice hook to Kann's body. Kann takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Schoots takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kann escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schoots gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Keast Kann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Schoots motions for Kann to come forward. Schoots throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Schoots tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kann was well out of range. Poor timing from Schoots.
Schoots takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
