Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Shebanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Krigor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krigor has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Dimitri Krigor will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shebanov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Krigor looks winded!
Krigor has hold of Shebanov's hands but Shebanov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Krigor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shebanov tries to stand and escape but Krigor is controlling the position.
Krigor won't allow Shebanov to pass to mount.

Shebanov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Krigor is still on wobbly legs! Can Shebanov finish him?

Shebanov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Shebanov stands up over Krigor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Shebanov lands a couple of digs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krigor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shebanov controls the pace.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Krigor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shebanov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shebanov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
