Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kukanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kukanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cody Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kukanov has his takedown stuffed
and Duncan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kukanov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Kukanov moves out of range as Duncan throws a body kick.
Duncan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Duncan.
Kukanov tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Duncan tries to bum rush Kukanov with a series of wild strikes but Kukanov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kukanov shoots and misses
and Duncan counters with a left and a right that stings Kukanov.

Kukanov is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Kukanov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duncan connects with a body shot that sends Kukanov's belly button to the back.
Oh Kukanov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kukanov. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Kukanov is breathing heavily.
Duncan sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Kukanov's defenses. It connects perfectly with Kukanov's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
