Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Rumak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sualhrata Animai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Rumak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rob Rumak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sualhrata Animai!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rumak lands a nice leg kick that just misses Animai's sensitive parts.
Animai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rumak is looking to clinch but Animai is avoiding it.
Animai doesn't manage to clinch there - Rumak circles away.
Animai dives in and grabs Rumak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rumak pushes down on Animai's head and hops out.

Animai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Animai lands in his opponent's guard.
Animai postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Rumak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Animai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rumak is on top in guard.
Animai tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rumak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rumak is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Animai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rumak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rumak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rumak postures up in Animai's guard and throws a big left but Animai blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rumak scores with a sloppy right hand. Animai should have avoided that one.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rumak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Animai swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rumak lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Animai!
Rumak has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Animai's face.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Animai flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Animai wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rumak.
Rumak cracks Animai with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Animai is rocked!
Rumak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Animai is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Animai tries to hold on but Rumak pushes him away.
Rumak landing strikes from the mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Animai can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rumak looking to ground and pound but Animai is blocking nicely.
Rumak throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Rumak lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Animai is still in real trouble! Can Rumak finish him?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rumak cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
A big strike lands for Rumak! That's really hurt Animai and he's turned his back - Rumak keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Rumak jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Rumak!
