Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan comes into the arena with Survival of the Sickest by Saliva blaring out of the sound system. Black has chosen Dr Dre - The Next Episode as his entrance music. Henry Black acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chan.
Chan tries to land a front kick but Black steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Black misses with a wild body shot.
Chan moves out of range of the body kick.
Chan scores with a nice right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Black crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chan - the referee stops the clock and Black gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chan. Black manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Chan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Black.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Chan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Black explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Black is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Black has Chan pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Chan is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Black - that's hurt Chan badly! Oh, another knee lands and Chan is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Chan doesn't seem to be complaining.

Henry Black really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Conviction logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
